Weekend shenanigans

I am being sucked in over all the BLISSDOM recaps this morning! Some people LOVED it and some hated it! It's pretty juicy if you ask me! I am a little ole' blogger so of course I didn't go BUT I am loving the play-by-play from all the bigger bloggers! IJS!

Anyways... My weekend was a semi-chill weekend....

Friday night.....

AS SOON as I got home (I am talking 4:30) I ran myself a HOT bubble bath and stayed in until my fingers and toes were all shriveled up like prunes! LAST week was hell rough to say the least!

I downloaded this neat little app that changed your backgrounds and your apps! Michelle from The Vintage Apple did a post about a few weeks back and I am now hooked!

 

 

Saturday, I slept in with this sweet girl-

 

 

I spent most of the day Spring cleaning, grocery shopping..you know all my wife-ly duties!

 

 

We also FINALLY got Netflix on our SmartTV... So y'all should help a sista out and dish about about all the good shows I should catch up on-Revenge, Downtown Abbey, Pretty Little Liars?! Decisions... Decisions!

Guess Who's Back?..Back Again?!

Let's face it... I am the worst blogger on the PLANET! I won't even make excuses for why my mad blogging skills have been lacking. But I am here today and that's what counts, right?! RIGHT! :) I am here to tell you about all the boring stuff that has been going on in the last 3-4 weeks... Ready.. set.. GO!

I am BACK to couponing!!! WOO HOO! I use to be one of those crazy coupon ladies, you know like the ones that you see on TLC on the Extreme Couponing show (you know you watch it, don't lie)! BUT then life starting getting crazy when B got a promotion at work and well couponing became a thing of the past.. I was lucky to run in the grocery store and grab a bunch of crap as fast as I could while on my lunch break! BUT, I    am going to give it a try again because I use to save MEGA bucks on groceries!! Summer is just around the corner, which means we will have the boat out and will be helping ourselves to lots of snacks (and lots of cocktails) so I need to start collecting all of that good stuff now (you know with coupons and all). 

This was my first "haul" since being back on the coupon band wagon...

I don't have the EXACT figures right in front of me BUT this is about $95 worth of stuff for less than $50 (this includes trash bags, 2 bottles of tanning oil, fruit, dog treats, cleaning products, baby wipes-NO we are not having a baby FYI, and lots of other crap) SO not too shabby for my first trip back at it! 

I had my BIGGEST event of the quarter this week-Our annual Silent Auction! We do this event to raise money for The Miracle League of Tuscaloosa (this is an awesome charity, if you have never heard of it you should DEF check it out.) The auction was a HUGE success and we raised over $6,000! LOTS of work but totally worth it! This was my GLAD it was OVER face!

I have become  ADDICTED to these Buffalo Chicken salads from Zaxby's! YES, I know they aren't very "good" for you but HEY a girl on the go still has to eat! #donthate

Last weekend B competed in a "Brave Soldier Challenge" and finished 7th (out of 100ish) SO proud of him! Where in the world does he get his motivation? CAN I HAVE SOME PLEASE?! 

I purchased this beauty! If you have been following my blog long, then you know that I have been lusting after these MK watches for a WHILE! I just couldn't decided on one... this weekend I FINALLY fell in love with this one! #obsessed 

I have also fallen IN LOVE with this amazing milkshake from Mickey D's! #shamrockshake #imafatty

And last BUT certainly, not least while I was MIA... I got a NEW niece! I would like to introduce to you....

Miss Sophie, she is an American Bulldog and is OH so precious!!

Birthday FUN!

LAST weekend (Yes, I am behind-Don't judge) was my Mother-N-Law's 50th Birthday!!! Brandon and I surprised her and the entire family by showing up in Mobile at Felix's for her Birthday dinner!

I was bummed alllll last week because B was suppose to work the weekend meaning we would miss the PAR-TAY... and y'all know this girl don't like to miss out! :) BUT a few things fell into place making B OFF work on Saturday and we were able to make the SHIN-DIG after all!!

1. What habit would you like to be able to break?

Eating out for lunch almost every single day… I haven’t done this in a while (only because I have been on the 24 Day Challenge) but there is just something wonderful about leaving my office at lunch and eating something YUMMY!

2. What is the biggest change you have made in your life in the last year?

Going back to school!! This was HUGE for me because I already have a full time “BIG girl” job so working and going to school has been a huge adjustment!

3. When was the last time you laughed really hard?

Probably one night this week…. Some nights when Brandon and I are getting ready for bed we just talk and laugh hysterically at nothing at all-Stupid I know. But when he gets tickled about something it makes me laugh so hard! HA!

4. What is your favorite smell?

BRANDON and his Polo Black cologne! I also LOVE the smell of fresh cut grass… reminds me of Summer time!

5. If you could have lunch with anyone living or dead, who would it be?

This is easy… my MAMA!!

6. If you could go back in time, what decade would you visit?

I would LOVE to go back to the early 1900’s when women were homemakers and men were the bread winners and more people “lived off the land.” Life seemed to be SO simple back then…. No cell phones or computers!!

7. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?

If you know me at all then you already know the answer to this! J If I wouldn’t gain any weight at all.. I would DEF eat anything fried… Onion Rings, Chicken Fingers, Fried Shrimp mmmmmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

8. What is your favorite color?

Right now, I am loving gray… but PINK will always be my SIGNATURE color! ;)

9. How many different places have you lived in your life?

Unfortunately, I have been in Tuscaloosa ALL of my life. SAD. I . KNOW. I always dream of moving away… But looks like I will be here for a while!

10. Who is your favorite musician?

This is hard for me…. Hmmmm I love ALL types of music from Gavin Degraw to Katy Perry… Don’t judge but I also LOVE Britney Spears! J
