5 on Friday!

It's Friday y'all WHOOP WHOOP!!! 

I don't know about y'all but this girl is WAY excited that the weekend is almost here!

Here are my 5 Random thoughts for FRIDAYYY!! 

#1. I absolutely CANNOT wait until the 50 Shades of Grey movie comes out and EVERYONE falls in love with Charlie Hunnam and I can say.. I told you so! I am so tired of all these women complaining that Charlie won't make a good Christian! Newsflash- Honey, you're wrong! I have been a Charlie fan since SOA! The boy has charm like no other and I PROMISE you will fall madly in love with him. He has been my "Hollywood crush" for several years so excitement was an understatement when I heard he would be playing Christian in the 50 Shades movie! Get ready girls! 

#2 I am SO excited that my daddy (Papa C) and my sista (Aunt Gessa) have been working very hard on Bay Bay Powell's Gender Reveal Box! I just cannot wait to find out if there is a sweet baby girl or a sweet baby boy growing inside of me! 

#3 OK so I was totally addicted to these Strawberry Lemonade's from McDonalds when BAM I go through the drive-thru last week to satisfy my craving and they have "discontinued" this item?! I mean really?

Does anyone know where I can get something similar to this? This pregnant woman has needs! 

#4 I am refusing to purchase a bassinet for baby Powell.. I know, I know.. I'm a terrible person. I just DO NOT and mean really DO NOT want my child sleeping in the bed with us! I also don't want to have to go through pure heck when they are too big for the bassinet and have to be moved to their crib! But I have been thinking of purchasing one of these to use for the first few months?! Anyone have one? Like it? Hate it? It's a Rock N Play Sleeper... I have heard some Moms say that these are WAY better than bassinets and easier to transition from this to the crib?! Any thoughts??

#5 I am SO excited for all of this FALL weather coming our way! This weekend is Bama's first Home Game and the weather is just perfect for it! I have got my Fall candles burning and all of my Fall decor out! Absolutely LOVE this time of year! 

14 Weeks!

I promise to have a better "bump" picture next week! This was from a wedding that B was in this past weekend! 

How far along? 14 weeks TODAY!

Size of Baby? The size of a NECTARINE/between 3.5 to 4 in! 

Total weight gain/loss: NONE- I was SO shocked when my Dr. said my weight was still the same! But I know I have plenty of time to gain! ;/

Maternity clothes: I have been wearing more "stretchy" stuff like my Fall dresses and LINEN pants from Jennaration! ;)

Stretch marks: NO! And I have been lathering up in cocoa butter day and night! 

Sleep: SUCKSSS!!!! I sleep good for a few hours and then toss and turn for the rest of the night! I finally got a pregnancy pillow and I plan to start trying it out VERY soon! 

Best moment this week: MASSAGE yesterday by my sweet friend Chancee! If you are local you should DEF go and see her at Skelton Chiropractor! 

Movement: I still think I feel "flutters" but other Mommies say it's too soon!  

Food cravings/aversions: Dill pickle chips, chips and salsa... but cannot stand the thought of ANY type of meat! Weird, I know! 

Gender: We find out October 11th AND we are having a gender reveal party! SO MUCH FUN! 

Labor signs: Nope.. hopefully not for a LONG while! 

Belly button in or out: INNNN!!!! :) 

What I miss: Sleeping through the night and not feeling tired ALL day! 

What I am looking forward to: finding out if bay bay Powell is a GIRL or a BOY?! 

Weekly wisdom: SLOW DOWN... I need to try and remember that I am TWO people now and I can't continue running around like a chicken with my head cut off all the time! 

Milestone: making it through the 1st trimester alive! ;) 

Backstreet's Back!

I meant to blog about this LAST week but well you know how that goes!!

A few weeks back me and my sister, sister N law and HER sister went to see the BACKSTREET BOYS annndddddd DJ Pauly D!!!! 

Can y'all believe that they are still together?! I am pretty sure that their "single" was the very first one that I ever had on cassette!! HA!

It was LOTS of fun but a bit TOO HOTT  and TOO much walking for this prego! BUT we had a great time! :)

Sista Sista

Brian's son put on a little show before BSB... this kid is awesome!! :)

It was fun to be a "teenager" again! I have to say the guys still have moves! Lots of fun! 

12 Weeks

12 weeks--I promise I will have a "baby bump" picture in the next post! 

How far along? 12 weeks and 5 Days! 

Size of Baby? The size of a LIME/between 2.5 to 2.8 in! 

Total weight gain/loss: NONE as of my last Dr. appt BUT I go back tomorrow and I am thinking I gained a few pounds...

Maternity clothes: NONE yet.. my stomach pokes out.. kind of like when you eat too much BUT I can still wear all of my regular clothes for now. 

Stretch marks: NO! And I have been lathering up in cocoa butter day and night! 

Sleep: It's OK.. I think it would be better if my back was better ( I have had lower back problems for almost a year and it is WAY worse since I got pregnant)

Best moment this week: Cleaning out the spare bedroom to turn into the NURSERY! 

Movement: I THINK I can feel SOMETHING sometimes at night before bed kind of like little butterflies in there.. but OBVI I am not 100% sure that it's baby Powell?! 

Food cravings/aversions: from week 8-10 I craved nothing but cheese fries with ranch.. but I am kind of over that now and today I have craved Dill pickle chips and gummie worms?! Random I know! 

Gender: Hopefully find out at next appointment... Still thinking BOY! 

Labor signs: Nope.. hopefully not for a LONG while! 

Belly button in or out: INNNN!!!! :) 

What I miss: Being able to sleep through the night without going to the bathroom and having a nice little cocktail once in a while! :) #sorrynotsorry 

What I am looking forward to: Dr. Appt. TOMORROW! 4 weeks is just too long to go without hearing that little heartbeat! 

Weekly wisdom: Don't have a yard-sale in 100 degree heat while your husband is out of town.. just about did this Mama in! 

Milestone: Being able to go a whole week without my nausea medicine and not getting sick! Oh the little things! ;)

We're Pregnant-Part II

If you missed the FIRST "We're Pregnant" post read it HERE.

Soooo as soon as I hang up the phone with Jess, she of course drives like a bat out of hell to my house, where I'm pretty much freaking my freak.. I felt so many emotions in that first 30 minutes that I cannot even explain.. scared, nervous, happy, excited, freaked out.

SO many ?s going through my head... Do I have to get a new car? How much is baby furniture going to cost? Can I do this? What about my birthday drinks and sushi?!HAH!... Should I take another test? How was Brandon going to react?

If you know me at all, then you know that in ANY situation I analyze EVERYTHING... and this was NO different!

Brandon and I had JUST had a conversation a week or so ago about WAITING to have a baby for "another year or so!" So this was TOTALLY unexpected! We have been married for 3 years so it's not a HUGE shock but still shock none the less!!

As soon as Jess arrived at my house.. I start chugging water like no ones business. I knew that I needed to take another test before Brandon got home. We also continued to get ready for my "birthday dinner" so that no one would be suspicious of anything!

We waited around 45 minutes or so and it was FINALLY time to take another test... within seconds... PREGNANT popped up across the screen! So for me, it was confirmed... I was going to be a Mommy!

By this point, I am searching PINTEREST high and low for a CREATIVE way for me to spill the beans to Brandon that he was going to be a daddy... but there was NO time for that.. he was on his way home and I knew there was no way I would be able to wait 2 seconds after he walked through the door to give him the news.

My fabulous sister had picked a cake up on the way that said "We're Pregnant" I placed my 2 pregnancy test on the cake -YES the ones I peed on! :) and it was all set!

Jess left to meet everyone for my birthday dinner and I waited on Brandon to get home from work so I could make my announcement.

I sat at the kitchen table and waited for his arrival.... just me and the cake... and waited for what seemed like 20 forevers!!

When Brandon walked through the door.. the first thing he said was "You look pretty!" If you know us then you know that that's the first thing he says to me EVERY day when he gets off work! ( luckiest girl ever)

I smiled at him and said "Look at my Birthday Cake!" He walked over and I popped open the box... he was silent for a second and before he could say anything.. I busted out into tears and said "I'm Pregnant!"

He seriously SMILED SO big I could see every single one of his pearly white teeth... I said " I know this wasn't the plan"... and he said "I'm excited!" There was lots of hugging and kissing and crying and hugging some more! :)

This is seriously one of the happiest moments of my life. I feel so blessed to have Brandon as my husband and now the Father-to-be to our child. I feel so blessed that this is MY life and SO thankful for everything!

The first few days were SO surreal and our appointment to see the Dr. wasn't for 4 more days so we refrained from telling any of our friends or family until we seen the Dr.  This was SO hard for me... We spend a lot of time with our family so to go almost a week without telling anyone was pure torture for me!

But the cat is out of the bag now and all is GREAT! Baby Powell is due March 20, 2013 and we could not be happier!

We're...............

PREGNANT!!!

WOOOO HOO!!! :)

 I have sat down to write this post a dozen times it seems like in the last several weeks but couldn't bring myself to do it. I really want to DOCUMENT this entire pregnancy from beginning to end for obvious reasons #1. If you don't come here much then you should know that this is our FIRST child #2 I want this to be a scrapbook of all the things going on in our life! :)

July 13th, 2013 was my 27th Birthday. The day started with breakfast with my family (B had to work) at Another Broken Egg and a little shopping afterwards.  Later that day, I met up with my SIL Candace and close friend Rachel for a pedicure and some girl time!

Please note, at this time I have ZERO reason to believe that I was pregnant, I wasn't late BUT had felt a little "off" the last few days. I am a person who KNOWS my body, I just know when something isn't quite "right."

While at our pedi appt. I asked Candace several ?s about how she felt when she first found out she was pregnant.. to see if her response would be similar to how I had been feeling. I kind of brushed it off and went on about my day.

Brandon would be off around 6:00 that evening and we all had plans to eat dinner for my Birthday, so once our pedicure was over I rushed home to get ready.

In the back of my mind, I thought I should stop at Walgreen's and pick up a pregnancy test BUT ended up driving right by there and TOTALLY forgot.. As you can see I wasn't really worried about it or thinking I was pregnant at all. When I turned into my driveway, it dawned on me that I didn't stop... and something just TOLD me to go back and pick on up ..... so I did.

I purchased 2 test from Walgreen's and headed back home... Still not worried, I had other things on my mind, like what I was going to wear to dinner... how I couldn't wait for a glass of red wine and sushi from Chuck's!


When I returned home, I picked up around the house a little and started running my bath to get ready for dinner. I grabbed the Walgreen's bag and decided hey, why not?!

Took test #1 and within seconds it read "PREGNANT!" (It was a digital test) As soon as that WORD popped up on that little screen I started FREAKING my FREAK! I could not even DIAL my sister's phone # fast enough.

The phone rang 5-6 times and I just knew that I was about to get the voicemail. I was just about to hang up when she answered "Hello"..... I screamed into the phone as I am crying... "I'M PREGNANT!"

I know that your sister, may or may not be the first person that you are SUPPOSE to tell when you find out news like this BUT HELLO my husband wasn't expected to be home for another 2 hours.........
